French Open

Because I can't help myself - the red-eye from Dubai into Paris for some tennis sounded like a great idea :)  But what a lovely day at the open and weekend in Paris! It was also great to finally have the 4 ladies (Zoe, Liz, Bec and myself) back together for the first time in months (due all of our work travel)!

Dubai

Work, yet again, took me somewhere new this spring with a week in Dubai.  Interesting city (HOT) with an interesting feel of Las Vegas without the gambling.

A bit more South Africa

I was lucky enough for a trip to Cape Town while in South Africa for a few days - we woke up early the first morning to hike Lions Head and watch the sun rise over a misty Cape Town, truly amazing.

We then rented a car (convertible!) and drove the coast down to Cape Point - above, a picture from Cape Point and below, Bec and I along the coast enjoying the sunshine!

Greetings from South Africa

Now, I haven't seen much of Pretoria yet...but really, my hotel room is a bit of a safari in itself!

We'll be headed to a lion park this week and Cape Town for the weekend...look out for more pictures!

Amsterdam Easter

It's been a while!  Lots of fun happenings - but most importantly a lovely weekend spent with my Cousin Emily and friend Sarah in the Netherlands this weekend.
Doesn't Emily look like she's fitting right in with the locals? We went a bit tourist with a visit to the cheese "museum" - which was really just a large cheese store, but lekker! (i.e. tasty!)

And no trip to the Netherlands is complete without some cycling.  We peddled out from Nijmegen for a lovely visit to a tea room as well as Germany! The picture below is Emily and I across the border :)

Thanksgiving in Wales - v2

Last weekend was the (now) annual thanksgiving weekend in Wales - and we've now grown to 16 adults and 2 kids.  We found a fantastic house in the countryside that easily accommodated the group - and allowed for some backyard football (american style, not soccer), multiple family style dinners and some welcome country walks.

Rome!

Where better to spend a long weekend then a jaunt down to Rome - my first trip and I can't wait to return!
